Why does AMR matter?
Antimicrobial resistance is a global health and development threat. Without effective antimicrobials our ability to treat infections including those in cancer chemotherapy and during routine operations will be threatened. The WHO predicts that by 2050, 10 million people will die every year due to drug-resistant infections.
